Child Advocacy Network

Ribbon Cutting

Child Advocacy Network, previously Child Abuse Network but still known as CAN, recently celebrated the grand opening of their new facility, a rehabilitated 34,000-square-foot facility located next door to the organization’s current location at 28th and Sheridan. CAN is one of the nation’s first nonprofit organizations that specializes in investigating child abuse cases while limiting re-traumatization of the child. Until the creation of this facility, children who were part of an investigation were taken back and forth among child welfare offices, police departments, and medical clinics. Now, all the investigative services will reside under one roof in a child-focused environment—each with its own private entrance marked by a uniquely colored portico.

Congratulations to our team, CAN, and to everyone involved including Nabholz Construction, Link Group LLC, Wallace Design Collective, 360 Engineering, Green Acorn, Crux, John Hammer, and Hampton Creative.
