Appropriately situated among leading businesses in a thriving downtown, San Antonio’s CAST (Centers for Applied Science and Technology) Tech is not your typical prep school. This innovative new high school, a restoration | renovation of two formerly unused industrial arts complex buildings, readies students for high-tech careers by allowing them to work with industry partners on real-world challenges and opportunities.
To capitalize on the students’ opportunities for hands-on learning, Selser Schaefer Architects designed classrooms with multiple learning environments and advanced, integrated technology. Multi-use spaces, such as the chillin’ station that doubles as an auditorium, gives students a retreat for collaboration, connecting and literally recharging.
