Oneighty was founded in 1995 by Pastor Willie George, with a handful of teenagers as a youth outreach of Church on the Move. With over 90,000 SF dedicated to youth ministry, the facility offers a diverse blend of learning, fellowship, and worship spaces for over 700 children and teens.
The goal of Oneighty is to provide an opportunity for students to have fun, worship God, hear bold content that speaks to their phase of life, and have adults in their world who care about them, believe in them, and help them navigate the ups and downs of life. Having a suitable configuration of flexible spaces is vital to achieving this goal.
The interior renovation of the Oneighty facility converted underutilized space into classrooms, auditoriums, and recreation spaces. Flexibility is the key to meeting the needs of this dynamic, energetic, and tech-savvy age group. Each classroom has full multi-media A/V capability. Gathering spaces are less like classrooms and more like black-box theaters—they can accommodate everything from a single speaker or full-scale theatrical production to a classroom setting or casual hangout.
