Interior Designer
Selser Schaefer Architects is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to work collaboratively in a team environment, leading projects through the selection, presentation, and documentation of interior systems and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project team.
– Develop solutions to technical and design problems.
– Oversee preparation of 2D and 3D design materials for client/project team review.
– Perform product research; assists project team with material selection and system research.
– Assist team in the construction administration phase.
– Fosters a commitment to design excellence and client service.
REQUIRED SKILLS
– Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Experience with Revit and AutoCAD with the ability to study design through 2D and 3D technology.
– Ability to work within a team environment both in-person and remotely.
– Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with and to clients, using 2D and 3D design materials.
– Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines.
– Ability to select and specify materials and finishes suitable for the contract environment.
– Ability to specify furniture and prepare furniture plans and specifications.
– Commitment to quality with exceptional attention to detail.
– Current with local and global design industry trends.
– Good verbal and written communication skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
– Bachelor of Science in Interior Design or equivalent degree from accredited institution.
– 5+ years’ experience.
– Registered Interior Designer or NCIDQ Certified candidates preferred.
