The Catholic School of St. Eugene recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new Early Childhood Center located on the Saint Eugene Catholic Church campus in Oklahoma City. The 12,694-square-foot center will house secure and developmentally appropriate education spaces for preschool through kindergarten students and enhance the church’s ability to welcome and serve young families. It will include classrooms, a multipurpose area, space for outdoor learning, and a staff workspace that doubles as a storm shelter.
The new center’s construction will also allow the church to repurpose and refresh previous early childhood spaces in the main parish to gain critically important ministry meeting space for all to enjoy.
The center is the latest of several large projects to enhance the growing Saint Eugene Catholic Church. In recent years, the church has constructed a new elementary and middle school building, a new church rectory, and has improved many other areas of the campus.
