Many of our retail clients come to us because we know how to save them money. As one of the industry’s leaders in retail design, we’ve helped our clients save millions on hundreds of successful projects since our beginning in 1993. Our body of work includes grocery stores, quick-serve restaurants, retail developments, box retailers, fuel stations, hotels, casinos and more. Prior to forming our firm, Janet Selser and Robert Schaefer were responsible for the design of Wal-Mart Supercenters and Sam’s Club respectively – at a time when every store was still designed one at a time. Their vast knowledge of retail architecture shaped our process for focusing on design while incorporating the lessons and honing the efficiencies from each retail project that came before. We learned early on how to adapt for continual improvement and savings.
We’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best retail companies across the country, from big box powerhouses to out-of-the-box visionaries. Whether we’re site-adapting a proven prototypical machine or designing a unique concept, we are deeply aware of your concerns for cost, speed, constructability, and quality. We use Revit and other 3D technologies to help you see what your building will look like inside and out, long before construction. This also makes our cost estimating more accurate and virtually eliminates conflicts between building systems. We increase economies through meticulously planned constructability, so you can start profiting from an operational facility faster.
If you’re an owner or contractor looking for an experienced retail architect who is as cost-conscious and business-minded as you are, look to Narrate.
