transparency and hope

The 150,000 SF facility reclaims a dilapidated industrial area of downtown. Mindful of the site, the design incorporates a creative application of economical materials that fit within the existing warehouse context while bridging the gap to the adjacent Tulsa Arts District.

From the beginning of the design process, every effort was made to create an environment of transparency and hope. The juvenile housing pods emulate home and the courtrooms speak to the imagination of children. A spacious entry lobby with whimsical lighting includes a children’s area of playful geometric structures — providing a fortress for children to explore on their own.

This new center serves the families of Tulsa County helping the Juvenile Bureau accomplish their mission of hope.
