May 2013 — Sweet Spot, an exhibition designed and curated by Selser Schaefer Architects, is a glimpse into the creative process of the Hardesty Arts Center design. The Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa knew they wanted to bring art to the community and had a good idea of how to get there. They began talking to local artists, the community, educators, administrators, curators, galleries, museums architects…stakeholders about bringing art to the community. You listen, collaborate and carefully consider all input. Where all of these goals, aspirations and needs overlap is the sweet spot — the place from which the design solution and the future of AHHA was found.
Also included are photographic and video interpretations by Don Emrick and Geoffrey Hicks. The exhibition runs May 23 – July 5, 2013, at the Hardesty Arts Center, 101 E. Archer Street, in downtown Tulsa’s Brady Arts District.
