We’ve been to a lot of great groundbreakings but it really doesn’t get much better than watching Sooky the elephant break ground! On June 22, 2022, the Tulsa Zoo put on a wonderful event to celebrate the Oxley Family Elephant Experience and Elephant Preserve — soon to be one of the largest AZA facilities of its kind in North America. Improvements include updates to the current facilities as well as a new 36,000+ square foot barn and a 10-acre preserve.
