In rural communities, access to nearby health care can be limited or unavailable. Cherokee Nation’s new Sam Hider Community Health Center in Jay and Cooweescoowee Health Center in Ochelata are changing that dynamic. Designed by Selser Schaefer Architects, the clinics will provide comprehensive health services, allowing residents to access care in the comfort of their own community.
