Broken Arrow Public Schools Sequoyah 8th Grade Academy (SEGA)

Ribbon Cutting

The Broken Arrow community recently celebrated the official opening of the new Sequoyah 8th Grade Academy (SEGA) — a 50,000-square-foot, two-story facility designed to give 8th-grade students their own dedicated space to learn, grow, and prepare for high school.

SEGA was funded through the Broken Arrow Public School District’s 2015 bond issue and developed in response to increasing enrollment and overcrowding at Sequoyah Middle School. The new facility includes classrooms, collaboration spaces, administrative offices, and student gathering areas designed to support both academic and social development.

Narrate collaborated closely with Broken Arrow Public Schools and project partners Key Construction, Wallace Design Collective, Phillips+Gomez, CEC, Salt Food Group, and Alaback Design to deliver the project on time and on budget for the start of the 2025–26 school year.

The opening of SEGA marks another milestone in the district’s ongoing investment in quality learning environments. Narrate is proud to have played a part in creating a space that supports students, empowers educators, and strengthens the Broken Arrow community.
