Roma Berry Center

Since 1973, LIFE Senior Services has been at the forefront of programs and services for seniors, continually growing and changing to meet the emerging needs of the aging population. Today, LIFE provides programs, facilities, and services designed to enhance the lives of adults over 50.

By 2030, over 20% of Tulsa’s population will be considered senior citizens. To better serve the needs of this ever-increasing and diverse aging population, LIFE has built the Roma Berry Center — a 39,000-square-foot facility that will host three of LIFE’s signature programs: Active Senior Center, Adult Day Health, and the LIFE PACE program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly.

Formerly the Bates Elementary School near 51st and Sheridan, the 9-acre campus also includes gardens and outdoor recreation areas along with a new 8,450-square-foot pickleball gym and 6 acres left open for growth.

This full-service facility will cater to older adults of all ages and stages and help promote and preserve independence for seniors today, tomorrow, and always.

ACTIVE SENIOR CENTER

The Active Senior Center is a community hub offering fitness, social, recreational, educational, and arts opportunities to adults 50 and older. This open space is highly functional, filled with tables for games and puzzles alongside lounge areas, a café-style kitchen, a multi-purpose room, and a small gym. The furniture is flexible and durable but designed to feel like a cozy, inviting living room.

A flexible classroom, workout center, arts and crafts room, and a gymnasium complete with a stage round out the multi-purpose spaces available for activities.

PACE MEDICAL CLINIC

The PACE – Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly — Medical Clinic brings quality medical, social, and home care services to seniors who prefer to live safely at home. The Clinic functions as a stand-alone, fully-supplied medical facility. From the nurse’s station to each exam room, materials are durable and easy to clean, while finishes and colors create a peaceful, welcoming environment.

A full-service physical/occupational therapy suite makes treatment easily accessible.

Adult Day Health

The Adult Day Health program provides a safe, friendly, and therapeutic setting for at-risk seniors and adults with disabilities. The large, open space offers a variety of flexible and durable seating options, including tables, couches, and lounge chairs. A full-service kitchen allows caregivers to serve meals and snacks.

The finishes are light and bright with pops of pattern and the non-profit’s signature bright green.

A secure, private entrance ensures members check in and out safely and seamlessly.

The “quiet room” provides a smaller-scale, less stimulating environment for quiet time.

Gardens, accessible walking paths, and patio seating expand activity options outdoors.
